The Book

TITLEAbyssinian Nomad
AUTHOR: Maskarm Haile
PUBLISHED: 2018

I came across this book and immediately wanted to delve in to the story.  Linking “Cape to Cairo” is often seen as a dream more fundamental to the white man whether it was the domineering Cecil John Rhodes who took over swaths of land in his dream of connecting the two cities, or the bombastic traveller Paul Theroux on his “Dark Star Safari” across the continent.  It is a breath of fresh air for a solo female African traveller to share HER story, and I can’t wait to read it!
